In search of peace in all areas of life...Freebies for the week
2007-03-17
I still have alot to learn about this site. I spent the better part of the last hour writing up a post and including nearly a dozen links for free sample offers only to hit the "publish my post" button and be told I need to log in. Arggh. LOL. Oh well.
I owe a special thank you to Scribbles for the informative post on how to make clickable links here. I was wandering aimlessly between Firefox and IE wondering why the insert link button didn't work, so thank you Scribbles for saving my sanity (or atleast what's left of it).
On the weekends I usually send out an email to my friends and family with links to "Freebies" that I've come across. I think everyone likes to save a little money and try new things that they might not normally buy. Samples come in handy for those short trips too, the're just the right size to carry with you. I've also used samples that I've gotten alot of to make themed gift baskets. My most recent one contained nearly 2 dozen single serve samples of assorted coffees and teas. A quick trip to the dollar store for 2 cute, inexpensive coffee mugs and possibly a little wicker basket or cookie tin is all you need. Many of us even have an Easter basket or 2 leftover that can easily be used.
Here's my list of free samples for the week. I hope you can get some use out of them or know someone who can. If you like them, I'll try to post new ones every weekend.
As always...wishing each of you love and peace....

My First Post....
2007-03-17
Okay so here goes. My first post on Shoutpost
. I took a peek at a few blogs here just to see what sort of things everyone is writing about. Everyone seems to have varied interests, so hopefully I'll be right at home here.
The one thing I've learned over the years on the internet is NOT to take everything you read to heart. I guess that applies to the "real world" as well. Everyone has an opinion whether or not we agree, but these differences in opinions doesn't mean we can't get along. I'd like to think these differences challenge our minds and help us see beyond the limits we give ourselves.
My interests are pretty diverse and subject to change at any given moment. Currently my biggest world issues are the war in Iraq and the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. My local concerns are with the sheer number of "crackheads" in my neighborhood and why it seems not much is being done by local authorities. My interests that are forever unchanging are my family and everything that affects them. This includes pets, food and ways to save our hard earned money...just to name a few of many.
I look forward to getting to know many of you. Wishing you all love & peace ....
